Day 12 of 100 Days of Encouragement
I’ve noticed that I have allowed myself to have many excuses for falling off my eating plans. It seems that the unconscious just finds ways to get that food. Well, today I said, “there are no more excuses.”
Each time I felt that tug to reach for food, I told myself, “no more excuses. I will take responsibility for my life and make choices that will ultimately make me happier.” When issues and uncertainty surface, I have learned to turn to thanking God for taking care of everything in the past, present and future. I only need to focus on what is in front of me and around me, and take care of that.
Today I stayed on track for the first time in a long time, and still put in a full day. When I was tired, I eventually found a little time to rest.
So… there are no more excuses team. We can and will get victory and reach our goals. Let’s keep on keeping on, because we will get there together.

Day 8 of the 4th segment of 10 days. Day 38 of 100 Days of Encouragement
Hello everyone and hope all of you are doing well through all of the challenges that can happen in this journey. I am keenly aware that challenges arise when we face any form of change in patterns to our habits, be that eating or any other habit. When we remove the substance or behaviour that keeps us at a certain level of personal growth or maturity, it is guaranteed that the issues of low self-esteem will come up.
Thoughts and feelings from past experiences can arise from the unconscious, and increase levels of tension, frustration, anxiety, fear, anger, and the list can go on. Of course, there are always times in the past where we have experienced happiness. I am a believer that life always balances itself out if we pay close attention to the positive and negative experiences in the present. Even if everything seems so dark that there doesn’t appear to be a ray of light or hope, it is there. Watch closely for it and you will recognize this in each day. This creates a favourable environment for growing happiness.
In many of my posts I have said that I am working on changing my lifestyle for the rest of my life. This means working each day on the issues that surface and growing the happiness factor each day. One way to do this is to say thank you for each situation, and find the strength and healing that grows from each experience. Developing strengths is not a one-day event. Growing discipline and happiness is like climbing a long staircase. It is a journey, and being patient with yourself as you work on this challenge is very important. Take some time for yourself each day to create a reward, be it ever so small, and consciously tell yourself you are special and valuable.
