Journal Entry: One Voice
Being part of the team that organized and put together the Edmonton One Voice Music Festival has been an amazing experience. It started out as my son’s dream of generating a benefit concert that would bring sponsors for under-privileged children. After sharing the vision with others, some liked the idea and climbed on board. A few phone calls later, the project took on a life of it’s own. The vision was born and on the road to being realized. As a rainforest requires much more than just mist to flourish, so too this unfolding required a mountain of work, time, energy, effort, negotiations, and an ocean of faith.
There were things that came together so easily that it seemed as though we would just breeze through without a problem. Of course, it would be unrealistic to undertake a major event and not run into blockades and situations that seem bent on derailing the project. You eventually learn that there is no problem too big that God cannot help you solve. He finds amazing and miraculous ways of taking the impossible and making it possible. Every project that you embark on will bring in the elements of unexpected hurdles and struggles.
Remember: When it’s so dark that you can’t see, God has a plan, I guarantee.”
